We decided earlier to the flower park at Kani during the rose festival that will be beginning on May 15th this year. We started our journey to Kani on 19th of May, a beautiful Saturday.
We reached Kani in 20 minutes from Tajimi station and from there we boarded a bus to Hanafesta (`Hana` in Japanese means `flower`). As we reached the park area we could see the beautiully arranged roses of various varieties and colours along both sides of the road inside the park. Even outside the park we could see as much flowers as we could see in any other medium rose gardens. The bus stopped at the main entrance of the arden rom here issues the entry tickets. As the rose fest is going on now, the entry pass costs 1000 yens while it is 300 yens normally.

Enjoying the beauty of various varieties of roses around us, we walked forward. Each rose variety has its name displayed on a small board and some names are so funny. The garden extends to some acres of land. It is heard that there are more than 8000 different rose varieties in the garden now. As the fest has begun just 4 days before, there are still more roses to be flowered. We saw roses with great bunches of buds throughout the garden. They might bloom next week or so, which might be more beautiful to see eventhough there are much flowers within the garden now too. I got excited seeing the rose varieties and I eel like having some of them with me to home. But buying roses from here won`t work as I have to carry it throughout my way back to India .

After walking some distance, we reached a scenic region with a lake surrounded by different trees and poppy garden extending along its one side and a specially shaped building at the other side. The entire lake is fenced and there is path around it for the visitors. We walked forward and reached near the poppy garden with wide varieties of poppy flowers. The garden extends to some meters over a slope.

Crossing them we get inside the building which is a museum where it displays different bonsai trees - with all its aesthetic sense in its own birthplace,Japan . The very big trees and plants grown in their trays are all about one or two meters in height. There are so many flowering plants, peepel, desert roses etc. There were six rows of about ten bonsais arranged there.

We bought some fried chicken pieces and Yakisoba. After having our lunch we walked along the small shops there. There are a lot of shops there most of them having various unique items of Japan. In shops of ceramic plates, we saw an old man painting flowers on the plate. There was a shop with awesome wood carvings and other small items made out of woods, and there also a man is making some small items. In the shop ith umbrellas and such other items with beautiful flower paintings, an old woman was painting new umbrellas. The black umbrellas with beautiful paintings cost 5000 yen onwards. We noticed a lady playing a flute-like Japanese musical instrument. She said about the peculiarity of that instrument and its name in Japanese which I didn`t remember it now.

On moving forward again, we reached another beautiful part of the rose garden, where roses are bended along arches and other shapes. Also there were so many more rose varieties. We have to walk a lot to cover the entire place.
At the end of our visit to rose garden, we reached another building with a gift shop on the right side and a museum at the other side. We walked towards our left.
In the beginning the different steps of manufacturing of rose perfumes are displayed along with four different perfume odours which visitors can enjoy. After that section, there displayed some paintings and photographs of flowers and plants.

In the first floor of the building there is a section here small children are taught to make rose flowers out of paper strips and decorate them. For watching it I moved towards them and stood there while the kid start glaring at me in shy without completing its flower. So I went back. There were also beautifully arranged flower bouquets and vases displayed nearby.
